Getting Around
The Essex-Charlotte Ferry Crossing is a quick trip across Lake Champlain to Vermont.
Despite ADK Oasis's refreshingly rural location, convenient public transportation options abound. The Essex-Charlotte ferry providing year-round car and passenger transportation to Vermont is 5 minutes away; convenient access to Interstate 87 (The Adirondack Northway) is 10-15 minutes away; the Amtrak train station in Westport is 15 minutes away; and airports in Burlington (Vermont), Plattsburgh (New York), Albany (New York), and Montreal (Quebec, Canada) ensure easy travel planning.
Other Things to Note
Lake views and sun prevail in the southern blue bedroom, with an organic queen mattress, all-organic bedding, and a private entrance to the deck.
Co-host is an interior designer who specializes in green, non-toxic living spaces. All mattresses, bedding, towels, and bathrobes are organic, and all cleaning and laundry products are organic and scent-free. Guests have a variety of organic pillow choices as well. Please let us know about any allergies you have, and any ways we can make your stay more enjoyable and more healthy!
2 kayaks, 1 stand up paddle board, and 2 sets of snow shoes come with the house for the use of the guests (other water-related amenities can be offered).
Exceptionally quiet wall AC units are installed in bedrooms and common areas. The house has excellent breezes and ventilation with ceiling fans, and many windows and sliding doors, so AC is almost never needed.
