If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The house is beautifully decorated and the waterfront landscape absolutely stunning. We couldn’t get over how peaceful and gorgeous the lake is, with crystal clear waters and Vermont’s Green Mountains on the horizon. The house was stocked with absolutely everything we needed, and more, and there was even a bottle of champagne on ice waiting for us upon arrival. George and Susan were super attentive and available at all times to answer our questions. The linens and beds are top quality and the waterfront had kayaks and a paddle board to enjoy during our stay. We kayaked almost every day with our kiddos to the sandy beach, which was just under a mile kayak from the shore. We loved it there and it was especially quiet in the mornings. We felt like we were on our own private island! Location wise the house is about 30 mins to an hour from most major towns/activities. We visited Lake Placid for lunch one afternoon and explored some of the gorges and forts nearby on other days. There’s also a cute self serve market with local provisions that George recommended where we picked up incredible local eggs, greens, tomatoes and other goodies during our stay. We were there for a week and didn’t want to leave! I highly recommend ADK Oasis. We will absolutely be back for some fall foliage and winter action.
